PUNE: A national-level (CME) Continuing Medical Education -Gynecon 2019 has been organised at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day event is an academic feast with the theme ‘Current Practices in Obstetrics & Gynaecology’.
The conference was inaugurated by Surg V Adm Ravi Kalra, Director and Commandant, AFMC. The event will see experts covering subjects in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. The organisers have included a quiz and a paper and poster competition for the postgraduates.
The inaugural oration was given by Maj Gen Kishan Kapur, Commandant, Officers’ Training College, Lucknow. He is a well-known gynaecologist with expertise in endoscopy - the minimally invasive surgery (also known as keyhole surgery). The inaugural oration, which was chaired by Maj Gen RM Gupta, Dean & Dy Commandant, AFMC was attended by professionals in a hall packed to capacity.
During the course of the two-day event, discussions will include Onco-Gynaecology, Infertility, Endoscopic Surgery and High-Risk Obstetrics.
